What is EvidenceFirst?

A clinical search engine for Indian doctors. Ask a question in plain language and get a structured, referenced answer — direct answer, key takeaways and citations that open the underlying source — in seconds.

Who can use it?

Physicians, residents and medical students. Create a free account with your work email — medical-council verification is rolling out and may be requested for full access.

Is it live?

Yes — EvidenceFirst is live. Create a free account and ask your first question in under a minute.

Is it free?

Free for clinicians and students during rollout. Pricing will be announced before anything changes — no surprise paywalls.

Where do answers come from?

From a curated, versioned corpus: ICMR and MoHFW guidance, NHA and CDSCO material, the NLEM formulary, WHO, NICE and CDC guidelines, specialty-society guidance and peer-reviewed literature. Indian sources rank first; every claim links to the exact source passage.

What happens when guidelines disagree?

We surface the disagreement instead of hiding it — each position is shown with its source and you decide. Answers never silently pick a side.

What if the evidence is weak?

Low-confidence answers are flagged with a warning and the interface shifts source-forward, so you read the underlying evidence rather than a synthesized summary.

Can the AI make things up?

Generation is grounded: every recommendation must carry a citation that resolves to a retrieved source span, or it is not shown. If we cannot support an answer, we say so.

How is my registration number used?

If you provide it during verification, only to check that you are a registered practitioner. It is not shared or sold, and a human reviews any failed lookup.

I am a student — how do I verify?

Use your institutional email address where possible. If your college does not issue one, we review student IDs manually.

Do you store patient data?

No. EvidenceFirst is a reference tool, not an EMR. Do not enter patient-identifiable information; queries are stored against your account only to power your history and saved answers.

Can I delete my data?

Yes — your query history, saved answers and account can be deleted on request at hello@evidencefirst.org while in-product controls are being built.
